Serving Up Success

The Sea Beggar's women's volleyball program delivered a memorable performance that left a lasting impression, both on and off the court. The "Taste of Aloha" fundraiser showcased their desire to build unity, talent, and passion for the sport, where fans from diverse backgrounds come to support the Providence Christian College Sea Beggars.

"The Taste of Aloha" was a culinary journey that transported attendees to the tranquil shores of Polynesia. The menu, featuring delectable teriyaki chicken, succulent kalua pork, ponsit, and lumpia immersed guests in the flavors of Aloha. Supporters also indulged in decadent desserts.

In a spirited match against the Buccaneers from Park University in Gilbert, Arizona, the Sea Beggars displayed their persistant dedication and skill on the court. While victory may have eluded the Lady Beggars, standout performances by Isabella Taue'etia, Tiari Ho'okano, and Jaznel-Lynette Baker-Samuelu lit up the game. Isabella recorded 4 kills on 16 attempts, showcasing a .250 kill percentage, while Tiari added 7 kills on 25 attempts, and Jaznel-Lynette made her presence felt with 18 assists.

Under the guidance of second year head coach Lauryn Andrew, the Sea Beggar's volleyball program is poised to achieve their season goal of qualifying for post-season play.  "The Taste of Aloha" provided a glimpse of the excitement that awaits fans in the final two weeks of regular season play.  This team's journey is about more than just on court victory; it's about building a community united by a shared passion for volleyball. With their promising performances and dedication, Isabella, Tiari, Jaznel-Lynette, and the entire Providence Christian College Sea Beggars team have set the stage for a season finish that features thrilling moments, growth, and a sense of unity that transcends the game itself.  The Lady Sea Beggars return to the court tonight versus California Pacific Conference opponent University of Antelope Valley at 6pm.
