2023 Volleyball Transfers

Providence Christian College and the women's volleyball team are excited to welcome transfers Sanaii Cooper, Amaya Garcia, and Iris Del Valle to the Lady Sea Beggar family.  These three upperclassmen will add experience and maturity to the five players head coach Lauryn Andrews returns, as well as incoming freshman.

Sanaii Cooper, originally from Reno Nevada, had 111 career kills and 70 career blocks at Shasta College. Shasta placed 2nd in the Golden Valley Conference last year behind the dominant play of Cooper.

Amaya Garcia, from Winchester California, helped lead Palomar College defensively acquiring 1027 team digs.  Due to her knack for defense and keeping plays alive, Garcia was named All-Conference in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference.

Iris Del Valle, from Murrieta California, had 34 Kills on the season for Mt. San Jacinto College.  Del Valle helped Mt. San Jacinto become Inland Empire Athletic Conference champions her freshman year and was named Pacific Coast Athletic Conference All-Conference her freshman and sophomore year in beach.

All three come to Providence with maturity on and off the court. They also bring a breadth of knowledge in high level, pressure-packed competition.   Coach Andrew said about the transfers, "Sanaii is quiet, an observer, but on the court, lays a hammer.  Iris is a ray of sunshine, and her beach game contributes significantly to her ability to read.  Amaya is a full-out, guns-a-blazin' ride or die.  The three combine to fill our team's need to continue to develop what coach Athena and I are known for: defense!"

Welcome to the Sea Beggar family ladies and we look forward to the careers you will have at Providence Christian College.
