Eric Fuller Named the New Head Baseball Coach

Providence Christian College proudly introduces Eric Fuller as the new head baseball coach. Coach Fuller will be the fifth head coach in program history.

Upon completing high school, Eric Fuller was drafted in the 69th round by the Chicago Cubs in 1994, but opted to play collegiate baseball at The Master's College (now known as The Master's University). He played all four years as an infielder and pitcher at TMC, completing his best year as a senior with a 0.383 batting average while going 5-1 with a 2.20 ERA on the mound. After graduating college, Fuller felt called to pursue coaching in hopes of developing young men into quality baseball players from high school and beyond. He began his coaching career as the assistant coach at Junction City High School in Junction City, OR, at which time, he also began his 20+ year career in teaching and ministry. In 2022, Fuller and his family made the move from Oregon to Southern California to start teaching at Grace Brethren School in Simi Valley, CA and became the head baseball coach. In 2023, Coach Fuller was named Tri-Valley League Coach of the Year after leading the Lancers to an 8-0 record in league play. Eric Fuller comes to the Sea Beggars baseball program with 19 years of coaching experience, most recently as the 2024 hitting coach at Providence Christian College.

When asked about accepting the head coaching position, Coach Fuller said, "I couldn't be more humbled and honored to be entrusted with this position at Providence. To say it is amazing to see how God has worked in our lives, especially over the past few years, is an understatement. I am proud to be a part of the Providence family, where our goal is to provide an environment in which baseball can be utilized as a tool for discipleship." He then added, "I am looking forward to getting in the trenches with these players and coaches. I want to be unified in our approach to help us compete. I want to help create an iron-sharpening-iron culture where we readily encourage and challenge one another. I want to make it our goal to compete with the best of our God-given gifts, talents, and abilities to the glory of God. Not only on the field, but off the field as well, in helping one another to follow Christ in all aspects of life."

Providence Christian College Interim Director of Athletics, Eddie Arnett, stated, "Eric Fuller is a man of great faith in Jesus, and he has a passion for using baseball to positively impact the lives of young men. We know that Coach Fuller will use this position to both grow the quality of baseball at Providence as well as recruit, cultivate, and disciple incredible young men and send them out into the world to be outstanding men of impact and faith as future husbands, dads, and members of society."

Please make sure to greet Coach Eric Fuller with a big Providence welcome when you see him on campus. If you are a prospective student-athlete and would like to express interest in playing baseball at Providence Christian College, please email Coach Fuller at eric.fuller@providencecc.edu.
